MOMENTS FROM WITHIN · 16 OCTOBER
Rooted in Joy
There are days when colour catches somewhere deeper than the eye.
Today, beetroot red. The purple of an onion. Something earthy, sweet, with a little sharpness.
Among all the possibilities in the kitchen, these colours keep holding the attention. A meal begins to gather around them before any recipe has been chosen.
Perhaps something within is reaching for the ground.
There has been so much reaching outward lately. Lovely things, busy things. Yet the thought of warm food, a familiar bowl and time to enjoy it brings a particular kind of gladness.
Even peeling the onion feels satisfying. Something ordinary receiving the attention it so often slips past.
And there it is again—that small, almost surprising joy.
Still here. Among the things that feed us.
With love,
Juliana

A little rooted joy.
